My dear friends and Freedom to Love family,
As another year draws to an end, don’t forget to take a few moments to reflect on your achievements and setbacks in 2015. Without this conscious reflection, your next year will be exactly the same as the last. A good life is an uplifting and inspiring journey. Human beings thrive on aspiring to something better and higher, and so reflection is a good place to start.
Let’s start by asking yourself these questions and sincerely reflect on them.
- Did your year’s work reap the results you truly want?
- Did you create meaningful memories with those you love?
- Did your health rank as high on your to-do list as you intended?
- You set a New Year resolution at the end of 2014, did you manage to resolve all that you intend to resolve?
- Is your personal life better now than in 2014?
- Are you happier?
- Is your relationship growing stronger?
- Have you forgiven yourself and made peace with your past?
- Do you treat yourself better than ever before?
- Do you have fewer regrets?
- Are you on track to achieve your life goals so far?
- Is your financial situation better than that of 2014?
- Do you have absolute clarity of where you are now and where you would like to be in 12 month?
If you answer yes to all these questions, then good on you, stick to your life goal and make it even better next year.
If you answer no to more than 5 of these questions, then it is alarming. You must work out why you did not manage to make this year a better year than the last. If you don’t do this exercise, no positive change can come about and it will be another difficult year ahead of you.
To get somewhere, you must know where you are going. To achieve a goal, you must set that goal, have the vision of what that goal looks like and then employ necessary tools to get you to your destination.
True success in life must be created out of emotional freedom, especially freedom from judging yourself along the journey of life. Your gains-losses, friendships-fallouts, love-pain, success-failure, joy- suffering, sickness-recovery, triumph-setbacks, growth-standstills, happiness-sadness, have collectively created the tapestry of your life’s story. Since you are the author of your book of life, you hold the power to edit it and re-write it to your liking.
That is why it is so important for you to reflect. Reflection allows you to see exactly where you have deviated from your visions, how you got distracted from your goals and hence, you can re-set your focus and re-align with your vision again.
Have you ever wondered what stops you from reaching your goal and realizing your dreams?
Who is responsible here?
If you are brave enough to face the reality, you will realize it is you who is stopping you from reaching your goal, because you have not aligned your thoughts, words and actions to your vision on a day-to-day basis. You got distracted by 101 different random thoughts every day. You did not review how you spent your day, you did not reflect on your set backs, you did not re-focus on your goals and gradually, your vision became a far away dream. Simply put, you have lost momentum and focus, because you have been too distracted, especially been too busy blaming, justifying, worrying and judging, rather than reflecting and creating.
If you want to create a better year in 2016, you must close the gap between where you are and where you want to be. Real success thrives on ease, joy and fun, not on painstaking effort because the source of real success comes from a higher level of intelligence. Mastering these intelligent tools and apply them into your life is the foundation of success.
If you have not read and studied my self-help book Freedom to Love, I urge you to do so. The wisdom in this book helps to open up your higher intelligent center so you can know yourself better. Knowing yourself is the first step to life mastery.
If you have read the book once, I urge you to read it again, but this time, study the deep wisdoms and apply them into your daily life.
Remember, the single most important force that is going to help you realize your dreams and reach your goal is momentum built by your conscious awareness. If you start and stop, going along like a yo-yo, you will stand still. Life only gets better through conscious growth.
So if you wish for a better outcome in 2016, reflect on your journey of 2015, let go of what no longer serves you, and take with you what inspires and uplifts you and keep that momentum going.
If you have not read my book Freedom to Love, make sure you do so during the holidays. If you are struggling with relationship, anger, broken marriage and bitter divorce, this book is perfect for you, because it teaches you all the necessary tools to create a win win outcome.
